CAxEdit usage:

  • Is there a column selection mode?

    • Yes, hold the 'Alt' key down while selecting the text

  • Why can't I drag and drop text between files?

    • The easiest way is to use copy/cut and paste it into the other file. If you want to
    use drag and drop, you have to open the files in two different instances of
    CAxEdit.

  • How do i add a file type for a language?

    • Go to 'Show preferences' in preferences menu.
    In the preferences dialog, go to the 'Languages' page.
    select the language from the 'Choose language' list.
    Add the file extension in the 'file pattern' text box
    If the file extension is 'ktp' add *.ktp. Make sure you add a semicolon separator for adding more than one file type

  • Why are ansys keywords not highlighted properly?

    • By default *.inp files are set to use Abaqus highlighter. Change it to ansys using the method explained in the previous question.
